There was only one tiny problem…
THE DARN THING WAS STILL BUSTED.
We turned the water on and immediately discovered that apparently whoever “tested” it had skipped one minor technical procedure:
👉 TURNING ON THE WATER. 🤦♂️😂
Now that takes talent.
I’ve been plumbing for decades, but apparently I’m behind on the latest backflow-testing technology. Maybe they tested it through Bluetooth. Maybe they waved a clipboard over it. Maybe they sprinkled holy water on it and yelled, “CERTIFIED!”
Hell, maybe the PVB took an online course and certified itself. 😂
Because one thing became obvious pretty quickly: somebody’s pen was working a whole lot better than that PVB.
This is exactly why you need to KNOW WHO YOU’RE DOING BUSINESS WITH.
A certification isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on if nobody actually performs the test.

WE TURN THE WATER ON.
Apparently, that now qualifies as going above and beyond. 😂🔧
Anybody can carry a clipboard. The trick is knowing what the hell you’re doing with it.
