Due to the fact that there is no isolation valve to separate the main water line from the fire main, we have to shut down the entire water system to the facility.  The additional cost to install an isolation valve at the time of construction?  $1,500.00 per the facility engineer.  The repair cost is increased by 50% because of having to make the repair on the weekend.
